Charleroi, March 31, 2020 - The current health crisis has forced Brussels South Charleroi Airport to temporarily shut down its activities. The airline industry is experiencing an unprecedented crisis today that has forced many airlines to nail some, if not all, of their fleets to the ground. Faced with a loss of more than 90% of its activity, the closure of passenger services and in view of the difficult financial situation, Brussels South Charleroi Airport has decided to suspend all of its commercial activities. According to the last recommendations of the National Security Council of March 27, 2020 and according to the schedules announced by the airlines active on the tarmac of BSCA, the airport estimates, today, a partial resumption of its commercial activities from Sunday 3 May 2020 (23.59). Until confirmation of the official date of resumption of activities, only medical, state and maintenance flights are operated. It is essential to follow the measures dictated by health specialists, in order to contain the epidemic of Coronavirus.
