His history

If in Belgium everyone knows the gun and knows that it is this wonderful inflated roll, split in the middle with soft crumb and crunchy crust, it has not always had either this form or this crunchiness; he had to go through the centuries to become an adult and so greedy.
His name ?

It would come from the old coin; the pistole or the Latin word pistor meaning "the miller" who semantic shift in the Middle Ages would have come to designate the baker and diminutive gun would be the product of the baker ... the mystery remains ...!
Its history is not easy to trace but we found a text from the story "The pig market" dating from 1590, it is included in a collection of the Chronicles of the Streets of Brussels, corrected second edition, Brussels in the office of the Emancipation Mountain Court, 2 - edition dating from 1834.

Yves Guns, our artisan baker, after studying at UCL, Yves dared to embrace his passion, the bakery, the real, far from additives, flours without taste, industrial kneaders and furnaces without soul.
Yves collaborated with us to create an original recipe, at the source of
Gun.

Valerie Lepla has a passion for gastronomy, cooking and good things peppered to the taste buds since childhood.
Passionate about cooking, when she is not in the kitchen, she travels Belgium and Europe to discover good restaurants and gourmet places.
