Pride at the top of the city, the arteries located parallel to the Louise Gully have long been devoted to delicacies and the triangle of rue Jean Stas, Jourdan and Dejoncker is rich in a series of addresses more enticing than the others.
Among these, the Rendez-Vous des Artistes

The Karagianis brothers
Until two years ago, the Vassili brothers and Costa Karagianis, well known to gourmets for their Greek address in Greece "The Children of Piraeus", fell on the local and decided to give it strength and vigor.
However, quickly, our two friends realized that, given the international and touristy nature of the district, rather than creating a new Hellenic restaurant on site, it would be better to recreate a quality Belgian-Belgian establishment.
This would be as well intended to attract an international clientele eager for black-yellow-red discoveries as the old Brussels residents happy to find an indigenous cuisine.

The “fries” of our youth

This is why, the two brothers imagined to give back to the place a framework reminiscent of the good old "fries" of our youth, with tablecloths in gingham but nevertheless some reminders to the history of the places, with representations of artists intelligently put staged for the occasion by the talented interior designer Pierre Bourgeois.
And to push the concept of "frying" to the end, the attention to detail has gone so far as to install, in the kitchen, an authentic traditional fry installation, allowing double the cooking of fresh fries with beef fat, real workhorse for the renewed house which is celebrating its two years of existence in April 2020 for the time being.

Croquettes
On arrival, it gives a good card of our place which is not very proud to include only "homemade" preparations.
Starting with the shrimp or cheese croquettes but also the wood-oven roasted marrow bone as well as an appetizing series of scampi recipes or the traditional mushroom toast.
Salad lovers are not forgotten either, with lovely suggestions which, for some, refer to the Greek origins of the owners, not to mention our shrimp tomatoes.

In terms of dishes
All the great classics of our Belgian gastronomy are on the menu, with excellent carbonnades with brown Piedboeuf beer, dumplings in tomato or Liège sauce, chicory gratin or stoemp-bacon sausage or a excellent American filet.

Seasons
Of course, in season, magnificent mussels, offered in classic versions but also sometimes in much more original suggestions, as accommodated chicory and brown shrimp.
And, in all circumstances, of course, flanked by the magnificent fries that make the house proud.
It should be noted that the menu is regularly complemented by intelligent occasional proposals that take into account the richness of the season, such as, over the calendar, an old-fashioned blanquette or very beautiful green eels.
To end your meal, the dessert menu includes all the great classics of local delicacies, from the white lady to the iced coffee, including various Brussels waffles or delicious profiteroles with vanilla ice cream, with hot Callebaut chocolate and whipped cream.
This knowing that all the ice creams presented are made by the craftsman Pacitti.

In stoemelings
A short but intelligent wine list allows you to find without problem and at reasonable prices everything that will perfectly underline the cuisine of the house, without losing sight of a great offer of varied beers, including the small nuggets offered by the micro- brasseriebruxelloise "En stoemelings".

Midday

A dish of the day to choose from three suggestions is offered at € 12.90, while for € 3 more, or € 15.90, it can be preceded by an appetizer, which can also be chosen from three suggestions and possibly followed by a dessert at 6.50 €.
Finally, note that for groups, the house offers a series of formulas at 20, 39 and 59 € respectively, all three "drinks included" and allowing all budgets and all requirements to find their happiness!

Flaking
Again and again in season, a beautiful menu of "flaking" proposals can appeal to more than one.
Here the 700 gr lobster is offered in various preparations, each more attractive than the other: Bellevue lobster, lobster in Armorican style or even pasta with whole lobster.
Let us not forget the various shellfish which can be tasted as a starter with a suitable white wine.
