Bister and Natura: an almost natural relationshipOne hundred years and three generations after its foundation, Bister, one of the leading sauce producers in our country and the largest mustard manufacturer and the second largest producer of piccalilli in Belgium, officially announced its acquisition by the Natura company. Until recently, Fabienne Bister was the head of the 100-year-old firm and recently went looking for a buyer who would continue the beautiful story of the Bister brand in a sustainable and reliable way. «It was very important to me that another Belgian family business would follow up on what my grandfather, father and I have achieved. I have full confidence in Arthus de Bousies to continue international development with respect for our values. After the acquisition of Natura in 2012, the Dutch company Ton’s Mosterd and the Belgian manufacturer of onion and fig preserves Top Quality in 2018, Arthus de Bousies acquires a fourth company in the same sector with Bister. In 2012, the young entrepreneur, then 30 years old, took over the reins of the Natura company, which had 5 full-time jobs and generated a turnover of 650,000 euros. With the acquisition of Bister, where all jobs are maintained, Natura now has 45 employees.
