Snow and ice sculpture competition

Val Gardena is also known as the valley of woodcarvers.
This tradition dates from the 15th century.
Families started this activity by making tools, religious figures and toys for the children.
In December, the artists do not make wooden works but compete against each other in the annual snow and ice sculpture competition.
Their works can be admired in the pedestrian area of Ortisei.

Wide range of ski passes

Val Gardena is a family destination.
The resort offers different ski passes, which meet all expectations.
Parents who take a package benefit from a free ski pass for each child born after November 30, 2011.
The resort has also thought of large families who want to ski 10 days or more.
The Superski Family package is made for them.
Athletes who want to go beyond a single area will be able to opt for the ‘Valle Silver’ package.
It gives access to 5 or 6 days of skiing in four different ski areas.
